Wheat ...

This picture was taken right before harvest on the family farm that was acquired in the Oklahoma land rush. Still farming wheat after all of these years up by Ponca City, OK.

The wheat is so beautiful right before harvest. It is literally an ocean of gold with the wind making waves through the wheat. I like walking through the wheat feeling the wheat heads with my hands, listening for that dry rattling sound that they make, and seeing the clean, even fields of wheat in every direction.
